  • I just wanted to see if anyone has any comments regarding using the “Gain Limiter” on in Traktor Pro 2. Over the past few gigs I’ve done with the DJ I’m shadowing it appears everything was ok with the amount of space and/or the size of the room. We were using passive speakers and an amp too. However, this time around the mentor brought in active speakers and a sub for the trap/rap music we would probably play for that night.

During the sound check of my system, Traktor Pro 2 and MC6000, the sound output was very low no matter what we did on the master mixer. We had ample time, and I’m glad I did, because he was able to look at the program and check out how I was running the mixer. Turns out, by me running the Limiter in Traktor Pro it did more harm than good for the output.

We unchecked limiter, but kept the auto gain option checked. Cooking dash 3 download free. The sound improved greatly. Master volume on my controller was set half way the entire time. Now, I also run the faders at “0” instead of all the way up.

Hmm, interesting. Although I prefer flying without a limiter (I rather keep things in check myself), even with the limiter (unless you’ve set it to some crazy settings before) the MC6000 should be “hot” enough to power any set of active speakers.

If what you say is correct and all you did was switch off the limiter. The limiter must have really been set to some odd values. Even with limiter on in Traktor Pro 2 setup, I get PLENTY of volume out of my Mackie HD-series active speakers.

Remember, all the limiter does is keep you below 0dB digital. Which is a good things since 0dB digital (quite opposite of analogue signals) means distortion! Not such a bad thing therefor.

I am wondering what setting you are using though, internal or external mixing? There is a switch on the back

Yeah they changed the buttons on the back with the later version. The one I have has a switch PC/Mac (which obviously needs to be set to the right kind of laptop you are using) the other switch is mixing mode (Int mix/PC mix).

I have it set to Mac (as I am using a MacBook Pro) and Int Mix. The last is a bit confusing because (looking at it from the Denon MC6000 prospective) INTERNAL means MC6000 whereas what is called internal mixing in TRAKTOR is what corresponds with the PC MIX setting on the Denon.

I always use the INT MIX on the Denon and EXTERNAL mixing on the TRAKTOR. Now what happens is that Traktor only sends your track outs to the channel faders on the Denon. Everything else is handled on the Denon.

I really see no added value to having an MC6000 and running it as a midi mixer for the internal Traktor mixer. Besides if you don’t use the internal mixing feature on Traktor, it frees up processor capacity.

Might wanna give those settings a try and see what it brings you.

Hi, the a-thru-b settings only have to do with the crossfader, for every channel fader you can choose if it becomes the a or b side of the x-fader or if it ignores it (thru).

When you set external mix in traktor, but don’t set INTERNAL MIX on the Denon at the same time, it won’t work as it is supposed to.

So, be sure to check that setting too.

    Good luck & greetinx,

When I switched to Int Mix everything was fine until I tried to use my Remix/Sample Decks for my DJ drops. The sample decks are set on Channels 1 and 4 on the controller and the controller didn’t respond. Switching everything back to PC Mix on the controller and internal mix for Traktor brought everything back online.

I guess there is no way to use the sample decks on the controller using Int Mix?

Ok let’s take them one at the time 😀

The mix switch is that, it determines if you use the internal mixer in your software, in your case Traktor (and you set the Denon for PC MIX) or if you use external mixer in your software (and set your Denon to INT MIX). This does NOT have anything to do with the decks, just with the way audio is being sent.

I don’t use the remix decks and always have cd-players/media players hooked up to channel 1 and 4 for backup.

I have to go by memory here, but if instead of using the USB 1/2 and USB 3/4 matrix input on channel 2 and 3 (which is my standard two deck Traktor setting), but setting all of the matrix selectors to midi, you can control all 4 decks on their own faders and you’d use change deck button to switch between the decks. What I don’t remember clearly if this setup requires the use of Traktor internal mixer or if it functions with the external mixer setting as well. I can give it a try tomorrow or friday as I have some time to toy around with it.

My master volume is hardly ever past halfway on the controller. I try to keep my channel faders at 0 most of the time, giving me a bit of playroom when required (emphasising a certain sound by just making it a tad louder for example).

It matters in that if the setting is for external (Traktor) INT MIX (Denon), the Denon is actually doing the work (you get sound back from Traktor through USB and that get’s summed to the main channel on the Denon. The on-screen knob will follow the movement of the master volume knob, but just for optical feedback.

The other way around, thus internal (Traktor) PC MIX (Denon) setting, all the mixing actually get’s done in the PC/Laptop and only the main and cue outputs get routed back to the Denon. When you move the knob on the controller for master volume, it actually controls the master volume in the software.

Hope I got it right now 🙂

I’ll try to check on the 4-deck setup in the next couple of days.

    Hi,

Will get back to you soonest, but can tell you that in order to use the 4-deck option, you have to set Traktor to Internal, Denon to PC Mix and all the matrix inputs to midi.

Jan 06, 2017  XDJ-700 and Traktor pro. Unfortunately, TRAKTOR (SCRATCH) PRO 2 is not compatible with the Pioneer device due to changes in the specification of Pioneer's hardware integration. We are working closely with Pioneer to resolve the compatibility issues. 3 Two Player Configuration of Traktor Pro PC for Denon DN-S3700 Introduction This document is meant as a quick step guide to configure the Denon DN-S3700 controller work together with Traktor Pro.

I recently bought the Denon Mc3000 and traktor 2 pro. Installing traktor was no issue, and the driver for the controller was fine.
The problem is at the audio set up, I select external controller, Denon brand, and Mc3000. However at the audio set up it says check your output source, so I'm guessing I can't use a basic desktop speaker for the controller? Since it has one universal source instead of a L and R.
If that's the case, why can't I use my headphones? When I put a song on traktor, I press play and the track plays but theres no sound coming from anywhere, not even the headphones.
Also, whenever I connect my controller and turn the power on, my internet shuts off. This CANNOT be a power issue right? Since a controller is supposed to be connected to a laptop, and laptops don't contain nearly as much watts as a desktop.
EDIT:
The problem was the usb source so everything works now, the only issue is with the headphones. The sound works through the speakers fine, but how do I get it to work with the headphones? Unless that's only for cuing?

How To Connect Denon T Mc700 To Traktor Pro 2 Crack

  1. Once the MC7000 is connected to the computer, Launch Traktor Pro. Note: To use the MC7000 with Traktor, you need to use Traktor Pro 2.11.0 or higher; Open the Preferences within Traktor; At the bottom of the Preferences window and select Import. Locate the Traktor mapping.tsi file that we downloaded and unzipped, and select Open.
  2. Go to Traktor Bible to download my custom mapping file preferrably. It's basically a rework of the official Denon map file you can find on their download page, with a couple extra nice features. What matters is that I got it to work with Traktor 2.11 with the configuration listed herein. 2) Procedure.

Dec 31, 2015  Proper Denon. Finally Denon placed only most important buttons & knobs, so the controller doesn't look any more like a christmas tree! Excellent move! I've upgraded from Traktor Kontrol S2 (which I also liked a lot, but had several issues with latency which I couldn't solve, so had to find something better). The new Denon DJ MC7000 is a professional DJ controller with 4-channel Serato DJ capability and dual USB connections. These two USB audio interfaces enable two DJs to play together (on their preferred DJ software) or 'hand off' in a truly seamless, uninterrupted manner. Coupled with Denon DJ's.
