Putting some 'auto tune' or tune on the voice, or some other effects, how would I do this in Studio One?
Thanks in advance

First the sarcastic response: take voice lessons. (we really do need a 'sarcasm font')
Now the real response: if you want to put it directly after the mic, I'd go with a TC Helicon Voice Tone Correct XT. It would go right after a dynamic mic live, or after your phantom power with a condenser mic. Otherwise you're going to get latency with one of the software packages if you're trying to do this live with a laptop.
Now assuming you're recording someone else.. tell them to take some voice lessons.
Auto-tuning tends to leave artifacts and if it isn't done subtle enough you can actually hear when it is used in a recording especially if you're old like me and listen to music recorded in the 1950s. This is not good, unless you are actually using it for an effect.
The best software package I've tried? Melodyne Editor. It's a plugin you'd use in Studio One. I think it costs about $250 or somewhere in that neighborhood. There is a learning curve to using this as well. Like you need to sometimes split notes and correct part of the note, not the whole thing. It can distinguish between vibrato and pitch drift.
But if you're going for the full 'processed' sound download the demo of Izotope Nectar. I personally hated the product, It's got some great features and packs a lot into a $225 package. Too much into it. You get what you pay for. I like to mix the vocal with the entire mix and add effects to it on its own. Nectar has all the effects built in including harmonic exciter and convolution reverb. My first impression was 'Oooooo. Shiny.' But after digging into it on a scratch vox track, I found I preferred Melodyne over it.

I'm recording myself and thanks for your response. I do not need any voice lessons, practice for myself would be the best choice at my level since I got a good ear for music.
However, I was wondering about some effects in the program Studio One, to make the voice a bit better or something (cant find the right word for it) :p

Buy it from http://www.sweetwater.com/store/search.php?s=melodyne+editor
Please note that the product ratings are for the first version that came out. The bugs, and they were pretty major, were fixed in a major update last October.

If you want to record the effect, you can open the 'Inputs' window in the mixer view, then double click on any channel, you'll see where you can drag in any effects you want. Autotune inserted there would work nicely I would imaging.
Otherwise just insert it on the track itself.
